Team Philosophy
Bluefish Swim Club believes is developing well rounded athletes with proficiency in all four competitive strokes across all distances competed. ABF’s development model starts with a foundation is technique that is consistently reinforced at all levels of the program aided with age-appropriate aerobic development and racing skills. Bluefish believes in setting up swimmers for long term success looking at the athletes' full journey within the sport and will not sacrifice the long-term goal for short term success.
Coaching Philosophy
Bluefish Swim Club’s coaches believe in three key components to develop championship level swimmers: Advanced Stroke Technique, Proper Endurance Training, and Race Specific Training. Through specialized and focused practice sessions, swimmers learn how to excel in all disciplines of competitive swimming. Coaches will positively challenge swimmers daily to not only be physically engaged in challenging and progressive practice sessions but mentally engaged to further each athlete’s understanding of their own physical tools and the principles of competitive swimming. Coaches support the athletes throughout their journey within the sport of swimming and their personal development outside of the water.
